CALL TO ARTISTS!

This will be an especially poignant show. We want to relive through the arts where we were, physically or mentally, on September 11, 2001. I'm giving you a "heads-up" for this exhibit, to be held at the Benson City Hall Gallery, or at Cochise College, wherever the most space is needed for such an exhibition from August through October, 2011, the 10th anniversary of the horror our nation faced on that day. You may either create a new work, or find an old one done within the past 10 years on this subject. You must be a member of the San Pedro River Arts Council for 2011 (see the website for information on joining), and, of course, the work, if it is a painting or photo, must be framed or gallery wrapped, with wire across the back. Size is not an issue.

We are also looking for poems, journal writings, plays, short stories, music and any other artistic expressions of emotion personally representing your experience of that day.

Please give us some feedback on this Call to Artists. We may need many ways to show the public these works, other than in galleries. Your ideas will be heard.
