We Are Thankful

Thanksgiving has come and gone. We are thankful that we have come such a long way with this nonprofit organization, but we are still looking for people who can help to carry the load. volunteers are always needed. On our special wish list for Christmas is someone who can handle the programming for our Celebrate the Arts! 2012 event and someone to pick up our Gathering of Artists & Friends in October of 2011. We could also use someone (or two) who will be a curator for our several wall space galleries in this area, we have 4 now. You'll get plenty of help too. We never lack for people to hang the shows.
The "208 Gallery," our "new" building on 4th St. in Benson, AZ is in a state of flux, waiting for permits to get us started on what needs to be done there. The building will be open on December 11, 2010 so if you're wandering by for the Christmas on 4th St. event, you can stop to meet us, and see the possibilities it has to offer. Sign up to be a member of the San Pedro River Arts Council, make suggestions for the use of this wonderful space, or donate to help make it happen. You might even have a cup of cider and some cookies while you're at it. We're hoping that by next year at this time, we'll be able to offer a little more...a gallery (with a real name), and art classes.
While we're talking about December 11th, you need to know that there will be no Art is Ageless! show in December. Our building is not ready for the public to be in it, and we have no other space we can use presently. We may try to do the kids' show later, but for now, it will be impossible.
